N is for No News... Good News


Living away from your loved ones keeps you always at an edge when they fall sick and you could not be there near them. Tension prevails at all levels and the days roll on with much anticipation. 




Every day you may be waiting for some news to surprise you. If you are not getting any news, it will help you to make a guess - nothing serious, every one at the other end is keeping good.



We are now living in a world that is moving fast with sophisticated technology.  We keep on running to reach our destination. No one is ready to wait for anyone.  It is saddening to note that so many of us don't have that precious time to spare. Yet, we forget one fact - when we need someone to be near us, no one will be with us.

It is true - What you give will only come back to you.  In this materialistic world, love and affection has missed the priority.

    Having cared for both my parents in their late years when they had multiple health issues, it was a privilege to be able to be with them when they needed the most help. As much as it was heart-wrenching to see them struggle through their days with Alzheimer's Disease, mobility issues, and diabetes, I hoped that my presence was comforting to them.

What are the perils of jotting down your thoughts using a computer?  Is it safer to save your thoughts electronically rather than on paper?  Decades ago, I wrote down my thoughts on paper.  They are still safe with me.  Though the papers are crumbling, my moments are recorded with the touch of my hand. E is for Everything is Good

Now also I remember those words my mother kept on repeating: Good thoughts, Good action, Good people These are the three things we must always wish to have with us. It is always a blessing to live with good people, who have good thoughts and who always shun bad and do only good to others. Whatever challenges you face in your life, good deeds, good thoughts and good people always come to your rescue. The vibrant positive energy will always be there around you and help you to be good at any circumstance in your life. I remember the comment once I received from an elderly person: "Too good to believe" In this materialistic world when people wish to have a comfortable life at all levels what I tell may sound weird. But my experience has taught me always wish good and that will invite good things to you. Lesson learned: Be good always to bring in good tidings at your side.

C is for Challenging Travels

A bright sunny day brings all the cheers. But hot scorching heat rays of sun make everyone perspire and curse the fate of being out on a day like that. Whatever it may be, I have to board a bus even on a warm, sunny morning. While traveling inside a crowded bus in Chennai on a hot morning is hell in disguise. During peak hours there will not be any vacant seats and you must learn to stand and balance your posture whenever the bus takes a curve. Unknowingly you might have stamped on the feet of a person nearby; some people may be kind enough to accept your 'excuse me' apologies.  Sometimes if it happens with a person who thinks you have rubbed on the wrong side, volcanic explosion of chaste words will occur.
